Night sky magic

The location at Rahajärvi provides clear views of the sky for Aurora Borealis hunting at multiple viewing spots. We also offer access to Northern lights photography expeditions for those looking to capture the night sky under professional guidance.

Wilderness & reindeer exploration

Ivalo Experiences is a small, family-run company founded by a local couple, Johanna and Niilo. With deep roots in the traditions of Lapland, we aim to offer responsible and truly unique activities that reflect our authentic culture and way of life. We are reindeer herders, and the reindeer you will meet during our activities are our own. We would love to share a part of our everyday life with you!

Action-packed adventures

We partner with Arctic River Resort, a locally run operator, to provide year-round activities. Their dedicated team offers snowmobile expeditions to travel into the wilderness. All safaris are carried out in small groups to ensure a personal experience, with private tours available upon request.

Husky safari

Happy Huskies is a small family-run husky safari company founded and owned by Pauliina Mäki in Ivalo, offering authentic Arctic experiences with a strong focus on animal welfare, small groups, and personal service. Guests drive their own husky teams through snowy forests and open Arctic landscapes, guided by experienced husky guides. The dogs are part of the family, and their wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do — creating genuine and memorable experiences, from classic safaris to private adventures and special moments in Arctic nature.

Biking & hiking

We partner with Lapland North Destinations to offer biking and hiking in the surrounding national parks, letting you explore the region at your own pace. In summer, guided and self-guided routes lead through scenic landscapes, while in winter the terrain becomes ideal for snowshoe hiking. Private experiences can be arranged.

Water activities

We offer several seasonal water activities. In the summer, kayaking, sup boarding, and boating are available. During the winter, the frozen lake is used for ice fishing and other activities on the ice.
